The Beginning: A Journey of Love, Family, and Cultivating New Beginnings

Picture this: the charming streets of Denmark, where happiness is a way of life and "hygge" is the national pastime. The air is filled with the briny scent of the ocean, the melody of bicycles whizzing by, and the magic of Hans Christian Andersen fairytales weaving through centuries-old buildings. Sounds idyllic, right?

But then, life, with its impeccable timing and love for plot twists, decided to send me across the ocean to Mexico. Spoiler alert: it wasn’t just for the tacos.

The Unexpected Love Story

In March 2023, I packed my bags and headed to Mexico to build a house for a family in need. Enter Samuel, one of the construction guys on the project. There we were, working on a roof together—he didn’t speak English, and I didn’t speak Spanish. Our communication was a delightful mix of hand gestures and hopeful smiles. It was like a rom-com, only with more sawdust. After finishing the house build, I returned to Denmark, but a strong sense of purpose kept pulling me back to Mexico, even though I didn't know why or for what. Shortly after, Samuel and I found each other on Social Media, and started talking, bridging the language gap one emoji at a time.

Love Knows No Boundaries

By July 2023, I found myself back in Mexico, realizing that love was the reason for my return to Mexico. All my dreams seemed possible here. After a brief trip back to Denmark in September, I returned to Mexico in October and haven’t looked back since. February 2024 brought the joyous news of a baby on the way, and by April 2024, Samuel and I had tied the knot. Talk about a whirlwind romance!

Dreams Sprouting in Mexico

My biggest dreams? A happy, loving family, and a piece of land where I could build my own house and cultivate a beautiful garden with fruits and vegetables to be more self-reliant and support the local community. Our little piece of land in Mexico became our sanctuary—a canvas for dreams. Surrounded by resilient shrubs and sun-kissed soil, we envisioned a vegetable garden. A place where tiny seeds would sprout, just like our child growing within me. We're not just expecting a baby; we're expecting dreams to blossom, challenges to overcome, and a treasure trove of memories.
